Guayaquil, Ecuador - On July, BYD, the world's leading manufacturer of new energy vehicles, launched the new BYD TANG, its powerful pure electric SUV at the Guayaquil Autoshow in Ecuador. The event was attended by global executives of the brands, strategic allies, guests from the press and influencers.
The new BYD TANG is a 100% electric vehicle that arrives to integrate the outstanding portfolio of the brand. This SUV captivates with its elegant and futuristic design, innovative features, and superior performance.

BYD won the award for "Best Stand" of the Autoshow 2023
Among the surprises of the event, BYD won the award for "Best Stand" of the Autoshow 2023. The space was awarded for showing a concept of fluidity and harmony with a futuristic touch that fascinated the attendees. Additionally, BYD also displayed its lineup of new energy vehicle products on-site and the visitors can navigate the BYD World, an interactive virtual dealership dedicated to providing future-forward immersive car-buying experience for customers.
BYD TANG
The BYD TANG develops a total power of 509 HP, 700 Nm of torque and an acceleration that goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. This model is also equipped with BYD’s ultra-safe Blade battery, delivering a pure electric cruising range of 635 km.
The new SUV features four-wheel drive and seating for seven passengers, its split-folding rear seats can be converted into one large space to ensure you can take all your gear with you on your adventure.
To date, BYD, partnering with Andor Corporation, the representative of BYD brand and passenger vehicles, has successfully opened three showrooms across key locations in Quito and Guayaquil.
